Sports and nature lovers were attracted on Saturday, in 3th September to Libhošť for the fourth year Tour de Avenue. More than a hundred cyclists supported the planting of trees, the protection of the hermit beetle and the operation of the Arnica eco-consultation on the Poodří benefit ride.

"I would like to take a look back at the cycling event that the municipality of Libhošť was able to host for the first time in cooperation with the Arnika organization. More than a hundred children and adults cyclists took part in the morning ride. Several stops were prepared for the cyclists, for example a very interesting talk about bees by our Libhošť beekeeper Luďek Klinkovský, as well as a theater for children and commented stops in the protected landscape area (PLA) Poodří about orchards, planting avenues and the development of the MAS of the Poodří Region. There were also several refreshment stations waiting for the cyclists on the track. At the finish line, a rich raffle and refreshments prepared by associations of Libhošť awaited the participants of the cycle ride. The municipality of Libhošť also prepared several musical concerts for all the visitors of the event during the afternoon and into the night. Even though we hosted the Tour de Avenue 2022 bike ride for the first time, we think that the event went well, which was helped by the favorable weather and the good mood of all participants. In conclusion, we would like to thank all the co-organizers of the event for their cooperation and wish that future years of the Tour de Avenue will be at least as successful as this year's." for the municipality of Libhošť, Ing. Jiří Petrovský, mayor.

On a shorter route, the smallest participants could get to know the craft of beekeeping, the life of bees in the Roveň forest, taste honey directly from the comb and have fun listening to songs and the fairy tale About the Three Little Pigs, or take a boat ride on the pond. In addition, the participants of the longer route got to know the history of the Roveň forest, the oxen path that led here in the past, the old varieties of fruit in the Bartošovice orchard, and there was also talk about the stink bug living hidden in the old willows.

At the finish line, participants were treated to a presentation of electric bikes, eco-games and an art workshop, an exhibition Behind the Old Trees in Poodří and a meeting with bats prepared by a member of The Czech Bat Conservation Society (ČESON). The culmination of this year's Tour de Avenue was a rich raffle with nice prizes, which was especially supported by Čisté dřevo s.r.o., DK Cyklosport Studénka, village Libhošť, family beekeeping Klinkovský and bee farm Skalička, Kazda Publishing House or Černá louka Exhibition Center.

And how did its participants like the bike ride? When asked how she liked the route and the program, twelve-year-old Lucie answers: "It was fun, even adventurous, as we drove there on the narrow path in the forest, that was interesting. Even the stops along the route. I liked, for example, the orchard, how I learned something about the different varieties, and since I don't know much about the variety, it was interesting for me."

They also sent their thanks to Geryk: "Hello, we would like to congratulate you on the very successful cycling event on Saturday. We and the children had a lot of fun, it was great. The children were delighted with the opportunity to ride on a boat and the environment around the pond was very nicely arranged. I also liked the route, the commented stops, as well as the varied refreshments. We enjoyed it."

A landscape without avenues is like a picture without a frame.

Proceeds from the voluntary entrance fee will help Arnice to protect the landscape with mature trees and avenues. The Tour de Aleje was held in Poodří for the fourth time, this year with the support of the Moravian-Silesian Region and under the auspices of the mayor of Libhošť Ing. Jiří Petrovský.
